1. Definition: The door limiter, referred to as the limiter, refers to the device that restricts the rotation of the door under the action of a certain force.
2. Function: The door limiter is used to limit the opening or closing of the door when the body is tilted; it also limits the maximum opening of the door, and at the same time acts as a buffer to prevent the collision between metals and produce harsh sounds. The maximum opening of the door depends on the convenience of getting in and out of the car, the convenience of closing the door after getting in the car, and the non-interference between the door and the body, etc. It is generally 65°-70°.
3. Classification: According to the different types of limit arms, it is divided into stamping limiters, plastic-coated limiters and limiters of other structures. The stamping limiter refers to the limiter in which the limit arm realizes the limit structure by the stamping process. The plastic-coated limiter refers to the limiter whose limit arm takes the steel skeleton as the main body and realizes the limit structure by the plastic-coated process. The limiters of other structures refer to the door limiters other than the stamping limiter and the overmolding limiter.
As shown in Figure 1, it is mainly composed of a mounting bracket, a limit arm, a limit box, and a rubber buffer block. The mounting bracket and the limit arm are connected and can rotate freely and smoothly.
As shown in Figure 2, when the door is gradually opened, the distance between the two rollers increases through the limit arm, and the torsion spring generates angular displacement. After twisting to a certain angle, the groove of the limit arm is stuck between the rollers. This is the first gear limit; at this time, the door continues to rotate, and when it is rotated to a certain position, the second groove of the arm is positioned between the roller and the rotating ferry, and the second gear limit is reached. At the same time, at this moment The rubber bumper at the end of the limit arm collides with the limit box to limit the door to the maximum opening.
